write YOUR OWN story

2016 has been a great year.  As I reflect on my life many stories can be told.  Reconnecting with friends from my past, a long overdue vacation "downeast," continuing education that was extremely fruitful, finding my voice with the help of therapy, building a brand.

"If you don't like something, change it.  If you can't change it, change your attitude." - Maya Angelou

I have tried to adopt this quote into my daily life.  Through self-reflection and exploration, I try to find what is important to me, and act on that.  This might be toward relationships, health, work, financials, activism and so much more.

There are many people I look to to find inspiration.  Examples are watching the behind the scenes work ethic of my cousins who are performing at the top of their respective sports, observing coworkers as they explain the importance of breathwork, clients who are volunteering at soup kitchens, friends starting their own business.

As I think about the incoming year, goals and visions galore.  I look to my past in order to move forward.  Learning from prior experiences will help me write my own story.

I imagine my 2017 story will include more continued self-care, writing and continued education, building of my brand, deepening relationships with friends and family, playing a more active role in society, and expanding on the basic goodness of this world.

My story also includes helping you with yours.  I want to help you build a better version of you.  There are many ways we can connect.

Until next time, be well-
