Many of us were raised to believe that we are thinking bodies that sometimes have emotions. In reality, we are emotional bodies that sometimes think. With this thought process, I strongly believe in the interconnectedness between the mind and body.

Finding the best approach to your needs is how I can help you.

Mental Health Counseling

I earned a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in LGBTQIA+ studies from William James College in 2024. Using my lived experiences as a queer person, having loved ones with substance use disorder, and all the other pieces of the puzzle that make me who I am, I recognize the potential challenges clients may face navigating the world we live in.

As a gender-affirming care clinician, I aim to dismantle systems that have created barriers to marginalized and oppressed individuals and communities by helping to destigmatize and decolonize the mental health world by providing culturally competent psychotherapy. This not only includes the queer community, but those affected by generational trauma, substance use disorder and other forms of oppression.

My foundation is through a person-centered approach, where each client drives the process based on their preferences, needs and values. Also incorporated are aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, feminist theory, and narrative therapy.

For those looking to explore or take more control in their life, whether it be identity, depression, substance use, transitions, or any other aspect of life that feels challenging, I invite you to reach out.

When creating a new habit, Ann taught me the idea of “daily-ish.” This helps me stay on track without feeling shame or guilt if I missed a day.

Understanding the mind/body connection allows us to better observe how emotions play a role in how we move and feel.
